Hi Lauren,
Greetings from a fellow Hoosier! I'm excited to hear that you're planning a Disney adventure for this fall! With gorgeous decorations, typically more mild weather,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, October is a
great time to visit!
I'm sorry to hear that your plans have changed and you won't be able to join your friends for this meal. I can tell you that I've made
dining reservations before for a group of my Disney Parks Moms Panel friends, and when we arrived, one of my friends checked us in. No one ever asked if I was there or not. While I'm betting your fellow Mouseketeers will be just fine if you're not there, you could always call Disney dining at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 and ask them to change the name on the reservation to be certain. At the very least, I'd make sure to change your dining reservation to the correct number of Guests, and make sure you link the dining reservation to your friends' My Disney Experience accounts so their names also show on the reservation by clicking "Update Guests" within that reservation and finding their names from your
Family & Friends list. If you haven't already added your friends to your Family & Friends list,
here's a super helpful guide that walks you through how to do so.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lauren, and feel free to come back and see us again if we can help with anything else. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation this fall!
Missy
