I made a dining reservation and accidently made my daughter in charge. Now I can not fix the dining reservation. She does not have an account and I am managing everything. How do I fix this

Hiya, Melissa! Thank you for bringing your great question to us at planDisney!

Oh boy, I'm so glad to hear that you're making plans to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth with your family! To me, there's no gift more precious than quality time, and I can't think of a better place to spend that time together than at Walt Disney World Resort. But oh, bother! I'm sorry that you're having a problem with your dining reservation. I'd love to help you turn this pumpkin of a problem back into a carriage! I have two options you may want to try in order to modify your advance dining reservation.

Melissa, you may want to allow your daughter to co-manage the plans that you've made for Walt Disney World Resort! This will allow her to modify this dining reservation. In order to do this, you'll first want to log into your account online. Hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab and click My Family & Friends. Here, you should be able to see all of the Guests in your travel party listed, including your daughter. Next to your daughter's name you'll likely see the words "Plans managed by me." Click "Update" next to her name, then "Share Planning with..." Once she accepts this invitation on her end, you will be connected through your Family & Friends List and she should be able to make changes to this dining reservation!

Melissa, if the above steps don't work for you, my next best piece of advice would be to reach out to one of the wonderful Cast Members. A little like real-life fairy godparents, they're often able to sprinkle a little pixie dust on our reservations to help out! You can contact a Cast Member in two ways. First, you can always call a Cast Member! They will be happy to help you make sure that your reservations look practically perfect in every way. Second, consider using the Chat feature through the My Disney Experience app (this is actually my preference!). This way, you can leave a message with a Cast Member and they'll respond as soon as they're able. To do this, log into your app and tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Scroll down a bit and tap "Chat With Us." Pro tip: leave as much information here as possible, including the dining reservation and how you would like it to be modified.

While you're putting the finishing touches of pixie dust on your magical vacation, I have a few more tips for you! Be sure that you've made your Theme Park Reservations with the Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to make sure you've reserved the parks you wish to visit on your trip. Also, take a little time to explore the My Disney Experience app prior to your arrival! This app is a little like holding your own magic wand in your hand. You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and - my favorite! - mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!

I hope I was able to help you with your question today, Melissa! If anything else pops up, please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    To infinity and beyond!
