Hello, Amanda! We are glad you've come to planDisney with your question! It sounds like you have a magical trip coming up soon.
Minnie Van Service, connected by the ride-sharing service Lyft, was a popular way to get around Walt Disney World Resort. Services were halted in 2020 due to the pandemic, and sadly they have not resumed. I used this service several times myself, and I loved it not only for the convenience but also for the knowledgeable Cast Member drivers and super cute vehicles. Mickey and I are keeping our fingers crossed that Minnie and her vans return, but in the meantime, you can continue to use various forms of
complimentary transportation to get around property, including
bus,
boat,
monorail, and the
Disney Skyliner (my favorite). Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests will find wait times posted on a big screen at the bus stop stations at their resorts to find out when the next bus will arrive, which is very helpful!
I admit that sometimes I want to get somewhere in a jiffy, and I'd prefer to use Uber or Lyft. Ride-Sharing services are efficient and can be a
dream come true if you're leaving the Parks at closing time and there are long lines for the buses or if you need to get to a dining reservation at another resort. In my experience, there are usually several drivers in the area, and I've rarely waited for any length of time. The one thing to keep in mind is the pickup and drop-off location for Magic Kingdom Park is the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), from which you can take a Monorail to your destination.
I hope you have a pixie-dusted vacation, Amanda! If there's anything else we can do, remember we're all ears!
