    luv the panel!how crazy am I to be planning for 5/2011 already?Both DH and I will be college grads and want 2return with DS 11,DS9 &DD 8(at time of trip) 2 CELEBRATE! Need resort advice. traveling 5/11. R the deluxe worth the xtra $$ for a fam.of 5? HE

    Paula,

    If you are crazy, then you just wrote a letter to the insane asylum!

    So, is a Deluxe worth it for a family of 5. Here is a "YES" and a "NO" answer, you decide which really applies to your family;

    YES, the Deluxe is worth it!
    With kids that are past the toddler stage, the extra amenities at a Deluxe resort make for a far more enjoyable trip. In your case the Yacht and Beach Clubs provide an exceptional pool, evening entertainment at the BoardWalk, and boat access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. These are just some of the perks that you will take advantage of!

    No, the Moderates are a better, money-saving choice!
    Moderate rooms are almost as big as a Deluxe, for lots less! Stay at a Port Orleans resort for the boat access to Downtown Disney, great resort grounds to explore, and some, if not all, of the amenities of a Deluxe.

    For me, the Deluxe is worth it. But the Moderates are very good as well, and provide significant savings.
