I luv the panel I read it everyday! I was looking at bringing my family of 4 down the week of Oct 16-23. How are the crowds then and how busy is EPCOT going to be with The Food and Wine Festival going on? Thanks again can't wait to hear your response

Hi, Melodi!  I think how you will perceive the crowds at the time of year you want to go is going to depend on what you might be used to.  For the most part, the crowds then are very manageable, especially compared to the peak of summer or during the holidays.  We always enjoy this time of the year because the summer heat and humidity has diminished, the summer crowds are back in the real world, and there's lots of great stuff going on at Walt Disney World!

You will find EPCOT crowds higher than usual.  The Food and Wine festival is wildly popular, and guests will line up to try samples of cuisine from all over the world.  EPCOT is also host to the Eat to the Beat concert series, and the event can bring an influx of people trying to catch one of their favorite performing artists (I'll be lining up myself to see .38 Special - a favorite from my high school days!).

Keep in mind that another really popular event will be taking place on select nights at the Magic Kingdom.  Mickey's No So Scary Halloween party brings people in to enjoy trick or treating, special Halloween fireworks and a Halloween themed parade as they sport their not so scary costumes throughout the theme park.  The Magic Kingdom usually closes earlier to regular ticketed guests on the nights of the party.

I think it's a great time of year to be here.  Perfect weather, lots of fun stuff going on, and lighter crowds than summer and holidays - all the things I love about Walt Disney World!
