We have lunch reservations at 3:20 but also would like to watch the festival of fantasy parade from in front of the castle. Will we make it to our reservation? Will they hold it? Should one of us miss the parade and hold the tables? Party of 16...

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cheryl! Thank you for stopping by with your question! Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is one of my favorite parades at Disney World! The beautifully decorated floats, Characters, performers, swings, and the Maleficent fire-breathing dragon, I can't decide what part of it I like best!

I totally understand your concern; you do not want to miss the parade and you don't want to be late for your lunch reservation either. Let me give you some great news! The September calendar shows 2:00 p.m. for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade! If that is the case, you have nothing to worry about since the parade only lasts around 12 minutes.

However; if the scheduled time for the parade changed causing a clash, your best bet would be to go to the restaurant before the parade begins and explain your situation. In those cases, if there is a time slot available for your party size at a later time, the Cast Members at the restaurant will offer you the option to reschedule it. If you had to keep the same time slot, you may request for a note to be added to your reservation saying that you might be getting there a bit late. If that happens, it will be at the manager's sole discretion to allow you in later on. Assigning you a table for your party size at a later time will usually depend on availability more than anything else. Keep in mind that you might need to wait until an area big enough to accommodate all 16 of you becomes available.

Be sure to check the Times Guide at Magic Kingdom Park for the exact times that week/day (*showtimes are subject to change) as well as the My Disney Experience app.

Cheryl, I hope this information has been helpful. Please come back with more questions; we love being able to help!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
