Heigh-ho, Shelly, and thanks for trusting planDisney to help you map out your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit! We love assisting guests, so let's look at storage options for your luggage while you enjoy some time in the theme parks.
If you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel,
Bell Services will hold your luggage on the days you check in and leave. When I have a late flight on checkout day, I check my bags at the resort and head to EPCOT for one last ride on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Everybody wants to rule the world, but no one wants to lug their bags around the theme park!
Even if you're staying off-property, I suggest you ask about luggage storage there. Many resorts in the area are familiar with guests having extra time before flights, so they are typically happy to work with you. But if time is a concern and you need to take your bags with you to the parks, you do have an option.
If your extra park time is at EPCOT or Magic Kingdom Park, you can rent a
"jumbo" locker for the day. These large lockers measure 17"x 22" x 26", so if you plan appropriately, you can pack a duffel or carry-on and store it in a locker while you explore the theme park. Keep in mind that bags can be no larger than 24" long, 15" wide, and 18" high to come inside the theme parks.
Lockers are rented on a first-come basis, so I suggest securing one as early in the day as possible. Finally, remember that all bags are subject to a security search at the theme park entrances, so review the list of
prohibited items before you pack.
Shelly, I'm sending pixie dust and spinner wheels to make your visit magical and smooth! Please stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
