What are the luggage size restrictions (both carry-on & checked) for Disney cruise line if I'm driving to the terminal & not getting there via air, bus, etc. I recall seeing another blog that said carry-on would be comparable to airlines, if so why

Welcome aboard, Jessica! You must be getting ready to set sail on the high seas with Captain Mickey and his crew! How exciting! Packing is always a fun part of preparing to set sail, but if you're like me, it's easy to overpack! Luckily for you, you are driving in, which means no extra airline baggage fees!

Disney Cruise Line allows each guest to check in 2 bags per person that weigh 50 pounds or less. Each guest can also bring one carry-on bag that must be no larger than 9x14x22 which is typical for the airlines as well. The reason for the size restriction on the carry-on bags is that you will be going through security as you enter the port terminal and each time you get back on the ship in the various ports. Your bag needs to fit through the screening machine, which is the same type that is in the airports, thus the size restriction on carry-on bags. If you have any drinks that you plan to bring onboard, they must be pre-packaged, unopened and in your carry-on bags as you board the ship.

I hope those details help as you pull out the suitcases and begin to pack, Jessica! Stop back again if you have any other questions before you set sail!
