How much luggage can a person take on a cruise? I have heard 2 per person. Is this correct? Thank you for your help.

Welcome aboard, Christi! You must be getting ready to pack your bags and set sail with Disney Cruise Line! Of course, I love actually being on the cruise, but I always find it so exciting to pull out the luggage and home and start packing for the cruise! There is so much to look forward to!

You have heard correctly. Guests are able to check two suitcases per person, as well as bring a carry-on bag when you board. Just keep in mind that if you have four or five people in your stateroom who each bring two suitcases plus carry-on bags, you're going to have to find space for all those bags! While there is quite a bit of storage space under the bed and in the closet for suitcases, I'd recommend trying to condense your packing and stick with a total of three or four large suitcases at the most.

My family brings two large suitcases and each of us has a rolling carry-on size suitcase. We try to split our clothes up amongst all of the bags in case the airline loses one of our bags. I had it happen once where the airline lost just my bag and if they had not delivered it to our hotel in the middle of the night, I would have had to board the ship the next morning with no clothes but what I was wearing - yikes! So, we've learned our lesson and now put a few outfits for each of us in each bag just in case.

I hope that helps as you get ready to head out to sea with Captain Mickey, Christi! Please stop back and let me know if you have any other questions!
