Hi! We were lucky to get a reservation at Ohana in November and I'm so excited! My sister has a sensitive stomach and was wondering if the foods served at dinner are spicy? Can you get items without sauces or marinades? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Susan!

My favorite Walt Disney World restaurant is 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort. I can completely relate to your sister, as I also have a sensitive stomach and I can't handle spicy foods.

I've eaten at 'Ohana many times and have found there food to be not only delicious, but great for my sensitive stomach. Their food is not spicy, however they do use marinades on their meat. It's not overly powerful though. The first course is Hawaiin bread and salad, which is nice and mild. You can definitely ask for the salad without salad dressing (as I do this every time). Second course is noodles, dumplings and broccoli. The third course includes meats grilled on skewers. Dessert includes bread pudding and ice cream.

Your sister can ask to speak to the chef when you arrive to ask about the marinades and sauces if she is concerned and may request any special accommodations. I have always found them to be extremely accommodating.

    Magically,
    Stacy
