Lucky enough to be taking a 3 night cruise aboard the Dream followed by 6 nights at the AKL in June 2014. What time should we be able to arrive at The World after getting off of the ship? Will we be able to get our park tickets at the AKL before checkin?

    Ahoy Brian!
Wow!  Your upcoming Disney vacation sounds just about perfect to me!  My family never wants to leave a Disney ship, but going from the Disney Dream to Animal Kingdom Lodge will definitely make it easier for your crew!
Disembarkation can vary, but usually the ship is cleared around 7:30 AM.  Guests can begin leaving around that time and you can estimate about 30 minutes to collect luggage and pass through U.S. Customs.  If you are utilizing Disney Cruise Line transportation, you can plan on around one hour or so over to the Walt Disney World Resort depending on traffic.  Your transportation will be waiting curbside, but you may have a short wait while everyone takes care of loading their luggage. If you leave the ship around 7:30 or 8:00, I estimate you will be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge between 9:30 and 10:00 AM.
When you arrive at the resort, you can go ahead and check in so you can head to the parks.  If your room is not ready, bell services will hold your luggage for you.  I've checked in as early as 7:30 AM and was able to head straight to the parks shortly after!
I'm so glad you stopped by the Moms Panel, Brian!  Please keep me posted as you continue to plan!
    Have a magical day!
