What low cost activity's are available for toddlers in downtown Disney? We will be staying in Lake Buena Vista @ the Hilton for 5 days and only going to Disney for 1 or 2 of the days. Our Vacation is on a strict budget this year. thank you, J

    Justin,

Great question. Here are a few area activities that might keep you occupied.

First off, the bandstand in the Marketplace section of Downtown Disney (located across the walkway from the front of the World of Disney Store) hosts a lot of free entertainment. Just check there daily for the schedule of activities.

There is the free play area in the Lego store. Kids can play with bins of legos, as well as explore the Lego structures outside the store.

While not free, there is also the nearby miniature golf course, Fantasia Gardens. It can be fun for even very young kids.

Finally, there is a small train that is perfect for toddlers (think: Mall Train at Christmas time), an AMC Movie theater, a Magic store that regularly exhibits tricks, and there is a bookstore section in the VirginMegastore as well, so some kids reading is also an option.

I hope this helps. If you need more ideas, please feel free to ask me by going to my bio page.

    Have a magical vacation!
