    My 2yo LOVES animals and i really would lilke to plan something special and animal related for her. I looked over the menus at the AKL and wasn't very thrilled, but i did see something about a savannah tour. Anything you reccommend? anything in AKL or AK?

    Hi Gina!

    If your toddler loves animals, you will definitely want to visit Animal Kingdom. Kids love the Affection Station where they can pet the animals and have an up-close encounter. You will also definitely want to go on the Kilimanjaro Safari. Your little one will be able to see elephants, giraffes, baboons and more on this fun tour through their habitat. This is free with admission to the Animal Kingdom.



    You may also want to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. You will be able to see the animals roaming around the savannah, which is incredible. Imagine waking up in the morning, opening the curtain and seeing a giraffe walk by? 

    The Savannah Tour that you mention may be the Sunrise Safari, which is only available for guests staying at the concierge level at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

    There are two other tours that are available for everyone, including Backstage Safari, but that tour is only available for guests over the age of 16 and Wild Africa Trek, which is available for guests over the age of 8.

    I think that your 2-year old would enjoy the simple pleasure of going to the Animal Kingdom Park, watching the animals from the resort and going on the Kilimanjaro Safari.
