    We love the Yacht Club, Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Resort, Boardwalk Inn and we're about to try the Polynesian. Is the Wilderness Lodge as nice as the other deluxe resorts? It always seems a bit less expensive and we're wondering why.

    We LOVE all the deluxe properties. Well honestly, we love all Disney resorts, but the Wilderness Lodge holds a special place for us as it is out Disney Vacation Club property.

    The WIlderness Lodge is a gorgeous property with a very rustic Northern woods feel to it. It is tucked away amongst towering trees and lush landscaping and at times you almost forget about the busy Disney parks just down the road. The property offers all the great amenities of other Disney deluxe resorts like table service restaraunt, arcade and lounges. the main difference we notice from the other properties you mention is transportation to the parks. Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian all offer the ease of the monorail, and the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club are just a short boat ride or walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Guests as the WIlderness Lodge can utilize a boat to Magic Kingdom, but that often is not as fast as the monorail, and you will need to use a Disney bus to all other park locations.

    Personally I would take advantage of any lower price you find on this gorgeous deluxe property and enjoy your stay. I am sure you will find it warm, cozy and just as full of Disney magic from the moment you step into the towering lobby.
