I would love to try the dinner skillets at Wilderness Lodge on my upcoming trip. I am worried it might be too spicy. I enjoy the BBQ at the Hoop Dee Doo is it similiar?

Hello there, Cyndi! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort question!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge places Guests right into the beauty found in National Park Lodges and captures the wonder of the great outdoors! Guests can make their way through nature trails, relax in rocking chairs in front of a roaring fireplace, and enjoy gazing over the always gorgeous Bay Lake. In addition to all the wonderful amenities and views of nature, there are also many delicious dining locations found within this Disney Resort hotel!

Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of the most-do dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort and offers Guests hearty meals fit for any cowboy! This dining location is largely known for its bottomless platters and skittles. These platters are all-you-care-to-enjoy and are served family-style. The dinner skillet features BBQ chicken, sausage, and ribs as well as a variety of tasty sides.

Having tried both BBQ options, I would say Whispering Canyon Cafe and Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue have comparable BBQ options. With that being said, I would suggest you notify your server at Whispering Canyon Cafe of your concerns. You can even ask if you can try some of the BBQ sauce prior to ordering your meal!

I hope this information helps you as you continue to plan for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
