I would love to try the California Grill!! Checked out the menu and concerned that the people I will be traveling with won't like it. They tend to be a little picky, meat and potato kind of people. Do you think they could find something to enjoy?

One benefit of dining at Disney's signature restaurants is that these are gourmet establishments that want to give guests a superior dining experience. If there's something on the menu that looks good, but maybe not quite right, then ask if the item can be modified. For example, many sauces or toppings can be omitted or placed on the side instead of on top of a dish. There are also basic items that nearly any signature restaurant can make for a picky guest -- a plain piece of chicken or unadorned pasta can be made anywhere, regardless of whether these items are on the menu.

In taking a look at the California Grill menu, I see that some of the items include oak-fired beef, pork tenderloin, lamb tenderloin, and free-range chicken. These seem pretty "meat and potatoes" to me. If the side dishes are an issue, simply ask that they be omitted and replaced with something simpler like plain rice or mashed potatoes.

Speak to your server and I'm sure you'll be able to come up with something that suits everyone.
