My DH and I would love to travel to WDW during the holiday season. When would be the "best" time to go? And where would be the best place to stay...prob for a large group,Our fam -3 Ext. fam - 5 Grandp -2? Maybe not all together in 1 room though

    Keith,

Are you sure you do not want to sleep in one room? To visit Disney during the Holiday season go between December 7-December 18. The crowds are very light and the decorations are beautiful.

Depending on how close you all want to be, you may want to look into a villa or two bedroom suite. These can be found at the Beach Club, the Boardwalk, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West or other Disney Vacation Club resorts. You do not have to be a member to reserve a room there but these rooms would have a full working kitchen so you could save on meals.

Another idea might be at All Star Music which has suites as well. However, these have kitchenettes which are usually a small refrigerator, microwave, sink and paper products.

My family, since I am a Disney Vacation Club Member, usually stay at the Boardwalk because it is walking distance to two parks which is nice if the family wants to separate for a few hours.

Your final option would be to book connecting rooms at any of the other resorts such as Port Orleans Riverside which is my family's favorite moderate resort.

Have a magical trip and look on this website for answers to touring with extended families!
