Well, hot tamale and welcome aboard planDisney, Alexandra!
Thanks for brining your interesting question to us! I enjoying hearing about special food requests fellow Guests have. So, let’s make like a jalapeño and spice things up quickly.
You are permitted to bring snacks and other food items as long as they aren’t on the
list of prohibited items. Food items brought onboard need to be placed in your carry on bag to go through Disney Cruise Line security, so you’ve got that covered. All items should be unopened, so I recommend bringing a brand new bottle of your favorite hot sauce. Keep in mind that upon debarking at the end of your voyage, you will go through US Customs and opened food items may be confiscated.
Now, hot sauce is available onboard so if you aren’t particular about the brand, you may enjoy trying something new. I reached out to a shoreside Crew Member to inquire about the brand, but she let me know that brands may vary based on the ship and port of departure. Another fun idea is to purchase hot sauce at your ports of call. I love bringing home a little culinary souvenir from my travels!
Since we are talking food, you will be happy to know that most items from the
Room Service menu are complimentary! You can spice it up to your heart’s content. You can also ask for hot sauce when you place your order, if you decide to forgo bringing your own.
I hope this information has helped turn up the heat for your
packing list, Alexandra! Let us know if you have other questions!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
