I love the smell of the Grand Floridian. Do they possibly use a ScentAir fragrance?

Ahhh, the smells of Disney! They can transport us to our favorite resorts and attractions at Walt Disney World Resort, can't they, Leigh? When I catch the aroma of fresh popcorn in my everyday life, I imagine walking up Main Street, USA, at Magic Kingdom Park. And the scents of clover and melon take me straight to the lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. So I did a little digging for you, and I have some ideas for recreating your favorite scents at home.

I spoke to an aromatic Cast Member who said that the specific source of the scents used throughout Walt Disney World is a closely guarded secret, but I didn't stop there. A quick online search uncovered many independent companies that sell candles and air fresheners designed to emulate the scents at our favorite Disney attractions and locations, so that's one place to look.

But I hit the jackpot when I called Basin at Disney Springs because they offer a line of candles and bath bombs that mimic several popular park scents. The Cast Member at Basin said they have a candle called "Isn't It Grand?" that offers the same notes of melon, clover, and patchouli that surround you in the Grand Floridian lobby. She also said they have scents that recreate the smells that greet you on Pirates of the Caribbean, Soarin', Haunted Mansion, and more. Of course, specific products and fragrances are subject to change, but if you check out the Basin website, I bet you can find some wonderful items to help you feel at "home."

Another panelist pal, Ariane, answered a similar guest question last year and referred them to Bowes Signature Candles at Disney Springs, so that's another option for you, Leigh. Follow your nose, and you'll find what you're looking for!

I hope I've given you some ideas for tracking down some olfactory pleasures, Leigh. I'd love to hear what you sniff out! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
