Hi, love site! Visiting 4/09 & want MYW pack. with DP. When this pack. price is released it will include park tickets, hotel, and dining, right? Is it possible to purchase tickets now at 08 prices and upgrade to package with dining plan when cost avail

    Heather,

Yes, if things remain the same in 2009, the Magic Your Way (MYW) package with the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) will include park tickets, hotel and dining.

Regarding the idea of purchasing tickets in advance, unfortunately this probably won't be a good idea.  Currently you can only add the DDP to MYW resort packages that include at least one day's worth of park admission.  So, if things stay the same next year, you would need to buy one day's worth of park admissions when you book your package, which would very likely more than offset any savings you might find from purchasing tickets at '08 prices.

I'm assuming that the extra tickets have little to no value to you, since that is usually the case for most people. We had a similar situation a few years ago when a MYW package discount came out after we had already purchased our park admission tickets separately.  The MYW package discount was good enough that we still saved money, even though we had to "waste" money on one day's worth of park admissions.  Those tickets have been sitting in a drawer at our house ever since, because every time we go to WDW we end up finding the better deals with the MYW packages.

Hopefully you'll benefit from my mistake.  Don't buy tickets now -- wait until you can purchase your complete Magic Your Way package.
