I love this site and stop here often to read Q&A. Thanks for all the advice! Are they ANY options for giving kids their own "money" to buy stuff on board? I want to give my grandkids the freedom of their "own" account, so they can b

    Ahoy there Judy!

Thanks so much for the compliment, and I'm thrilled to hear you are a frequent Moms Panel visitor! You also sound like a very generous grandmother!

When you check-in at the port each family member will receive their very own "Key to the World" card.  This card allows you to get into your stateroom and also serves as your "charge card" while onboard.  If you would like for your grandchildren to have the option to make shipboard purchases you can  give them each charging privileges when you check-in online.  Just make sure to list their names when plugging in your credit card information.

Another idea would be to give your grandkids, Disney Gift Cards.  They are available in various denominations at grocery stores, Disney stores, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and online at www.disneystore.com.  They can be turned in at Guest Services anytime during your cruise and will be credited towards your stateroom account.

I know you are counting down the days until you are sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey!  Please let me know if you have any other planning questions before you embark!

Have a magical day and Bon Voyage!
