HI! love panell!we visited WDW last yr in may for the 1st time and had not heard of hidden mickey.we are planning a trip nov09, and i think my kids would love to find them.are there any tips to finding HM or books to record the ones my kids do find?

    Melissa,

First off, get Steve Barrett's book Hidden Mickey's, Third Edition. If you want to get it before you come to Walt Disney World, just ask for a book with ISBN # 1887140719. He is the guru of Hidden Mickeys, and it will give you all the info you need. If you forget to buy it before visiting, most resort gift stores carry it.

He also has a website, hiddenmickeysguide.com. If you find one that nobody has ever discovered before, you can get credit by sending info about it in to that site. Admittedly I did this and never got a reply back, but you should still try.

As to finding new ones, you just have to do one simple thing. Relax. Enjoy the environment of wherever you are in Walt Disney World. Then just open your eyes to the walls, furniture, and ambiance around you. That is when you find them. Even if you don't discover one that has never been found before, it is fun to find them for yourself, and too see the attention to detail that some Disney cast member has brought to their work!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
