Love your panel!I am addicted and have learned so much from all of you! Does anyone know what time of year the "Disney Channel Games" are held? Also, can you get tickets to games or only to the concert and how? DS7 and DD4 LOVE to watch them.

The Disney Channel Games were taped early this spring at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. We are all about the Disney channel in our house; my daughters would love going to the taping of something like that as well. Unfortunately the vast majority of the time Disney star appearances in the parks are not made public in advance. There did happen to be tickets for sale to the DC Games about two weeks before the event happened. This information was posted on various Disney related Internet chat boards but was not generally well publicized. If you're willing to make a last-minute trip next year (and of course there is no guarantee that the event will even be held next year) I would subscribe to some Disney-related Internet newsletters such as those found at and so you'll be in the loop for news.

As you obviously know, Disney stars do sometimes make it to the WDW parks for special events or some sort of filming. These types of events are quite changeable, a glitch in the star's schedule or even a weather issue could force an alteration of plans or cancelation right up until the last minute. Rather than disappoint guests by having them wait for a star that ends up not appearing, Disney would rather have a delightful surprise for guests who happen to be at the parks at the time.

When my family was vacationing at WDW in February, we were at the Animal Kingdom on the way to the Safari ride. We saw a film crew and stopped for a moment to see what was going on. As it turned out it was Moises Arias, Rico of Hannah Montana, taping a promotional piece. I have to tell you that my girls were surprised and very delighted to find him there. This was a fun story that the girls could "wow" their friends at school with when we got home, and there's no way we could have planned for it to happen.
