Love the panel! Going to WDW 6/29-7/3.I want to see the opening ceremony at MK.I've heard it's great and I don't want to miss it. My ?, should I not go to MK morning EMH in order to catch the ceremony or will it still happen at the earlier opening time?

    Hi Andrew,

Bet you are so excited! Just a few more weeks and you are Disney World bound. I love the opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom. The ceremony lasts about five to ten minutes and includes singing, dancing, a family of the day  and an appearance from many of the Disney pals from the train station in front of the park. It is a great and fun way to kick off the magic. On the mornings that Magic Kingdom opens early for Extra Magic Hours, there is still a brief welcome ceremony but it is not the same as the opening ceremony and does not include all the charaxcters, singing and such.

Extra Magic Hours is a great way to get a number of things done early at Magic Kingdom, but the park does tends to get very crowded as the morning goes on. If you have a park hopper, why not start with Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom and then move to another park later in the morning. Then you can return to Magic Kingdom on another morning of your stay to catch the opening ceremony and enjoy the park.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
