Love this panel! Visiting Mar 3-8 (listed as low crowd time on Disney website). Will the Princess Half Marathon greatly increase the crowds? Will Epcot be crowded on Sat, Mar 7 since Family 5K and kids races will be held there that morning?

Hi, Diana!  The marathons that take place at Walt Disney World do tend to bring in a bit of a crowd, but this is still a pretty good time to go and take advantage of lighter crowds.  The times when I've been down at the theme parks during a marathon, the weekend of the marathon is definitely busier, but the days before and after seem to have noticeably lighter crowds.

I would avoid EPCOT the day of the marathon.  Although the runners meet early in the morning - oh dark thirty or so in the morning!! - I have noticed that many linger and spend the day with their families.

I wouldn't worry about the marathon having too large of an impact on your vacation, and with some careful planning around the big day itself, things should work out just fine.

    Have a great vacation!
