Hi! Love the panel. Traveling Aug 18-24 with daughters 6 and 4, and son 1. EMH doesn't fit our schedules. We'll be in parks 9-2ish then back to POFQ for swim/nap, then back out for a few hrs of park/din. Is it best to avoid the parks with EMH these days?

    Hi Stephen,

Wow you are getting so close now. I bet you are all so excited! It is a great idea to take an afternoon break from the parks. Coming back for a nap or swim is a perfect way to get your second wind for the evening of fun.

Extra Magic Hours, available to Disney resort guests, is a great way to capitalize on a little extra time in the parks. If you are able to start your morning early, right at the beginning of the EMH, you will find that you can often enjoy a number of attractions before the park opens for its regular operating hours. The park offering Extra Magic Hours does tend to become very crowded as the morning and day continues on and we like to hop over to another park by late morning. The park offering the evening EMH is generally very crowded as the evening continues on.

In my experience, if you are not at the very start of morning EMH or planning on staying until the very end of evening EMH, it is better to avoid those parks on that day. Hope you have a great time!
