I love this panel!! Staying at POR and want to take the boat to Downtown. Are there life jackets on the boats? This may sound silly but my mother in-law can't swim so this is a concern for her. A disney boat has probably never sunk but she worries! HELP :s

    Hi Charlene!

Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is such a wonderful and relaxing resort, located in the Downtown Disney Resort area.  Offering Royal Rooms and rooms that accommodate 5 (with a child under 9) and a fantastic food court (espresso!!!!), POR is soon on its way to becoming my favorite moderate resort.

Heading to Downtown Disney from POR?  Enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Sassagoula River!  Stopping at POFQ before heading to DTD, the boat ride will take about 30 minutes, but it is really so comfortable, and leaves you close to the DTD shops at the Marketplace.  All boats used by Disney are equipped with life jackets, however, they are not given out for guest use unless absolutely necessary.   Tell her not to worry, as Disney takes great care in maintaining all of their transportation options.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
