Love the mom's panel! We will be staying at Disney's Boardwalk Villas in October 2012. We arrive on Saturday and plan on going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ that evening. We will not be at the parks. What is the best way to get there from where we are staying?

Hi Michelle!  Disney's Boardwalk is an amazing resort, complete with night entertainment, and boat launch to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  One of the best aspects of staying at a Walt Disney World resort is the plethora of travel options.  There are the boats, buses, monorail, walking paths and taxis that can transport you from place to place.  To travel to Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground from Boardwalk Resort definitely involves some research. There is a bus from that will take you to Magic Kingdom, and then you can take the water taxi to Fort Wilderness.  That would be the easiest means of getting there.  Or, you can take the water taxi from Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios, and take a bus from there to Fort Wilderness Resort.
Hope you have a wonderful time staying at Disney's Boardwalk Villas!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
