LOVE this panel! We're spending a week in WDW in Sept '08 with 4 adults and 3 princesses (4, 6, & 8). We already made the majority of our ADR, including CRT b'fast, but we are torn between Akershus and 1900 Park Fare for our final dinner. Recommendati

    Cristy,

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...go for 1900 Park Fare!  I know I've been singing the praises of this meal a lot lately, but it really it is a great one!

First, about Akershus...it is also a great restaurant.  However dinner is traditional Norwegian food (think lots of cold fish), so unless your girls are very adventurous eaters, they're likely to turn up their noses.  Mine are good eaters and they still did!  We usually eat there for breakfast, when the food is more American.

At 1900 Park Fare there is an international flair to the buffet.  We sampled dishes inspired by many different countries, and everything was delicious.  And of course you must try the Strawberry Soup!

The characters at 1900 are so much fun!  The stepsisters completely steal the show, and they alone are worth the price of admission in my book.  Lady Tremaine is excellent as well, just as haughty and cold as you'd imagine her to be, but also much more witty.  The three of them kept us in stitches last fall, and I look forward to a return visit!  Oh and of course Cinderella and Prince Charming are there as well, which is my daughters' reason for wanting to eat here.  The family banter and witty repartee are just a fringe benefit.  :)
