Welcome back, Kelley! I'm so glad you heard the announcement about
Disney Cruise Line's Christmas decorations and activities onboard the ships. I was thrilled to hear the news too, as our family will be setting sail in November as well.
You can still expect to have a swashbuckling good time during Pirate Night onboard your sailing as well, so don't forget to pack those pirate costumes and accessories (yes, even for the adults)! While you're packing those costumes, you might consider packing some Christmas clothes as there will be quite a few Christmas decorations making a nice backdrop for family photos! I see a Disney Cruise Line Christmas card in your future, Kelley! (My family plans to do the same!)
Your first night onboard, plan to head down to the atrium lobby for King Triton's Tree Lighting Ceremony, where one lucky young cruiser will be chosen to help light the tree! Throughout the sailing, kids will be treated to holiday crafts such as decorating stockings and gingerbread men cookies, making holiday cards and maybe even creating their very own holiday animation cells!
Of course, Disney is all about telling stories, and on the ships, it is no different. Holiday storytellers will be onboard sharing tales of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Plus, I hear that a story just for Disney Cruise Line will be told, all about those magical feelings guests get while celebrating the holidays at sea. Don't miss the "Deck the Deck" party with fun games for the whole family. While that last night is always bittersweet saying goodbye to friends, the holiday edition of "Til We Meet Again" will feature a unique seasonal theme!
I hope that those details get you even more excited about your upcoming sailing during the holidays, Kelley! As always, I'm happy to help with other questions, so feel free to stop back!
