Welcome aboard, Zhaohui! Your whole family will really enjoy the new Fantasy! But, your 13-year old might have the most fun of all.
Be sure she checks out the
Edge, (you can read about it on Disney Cruise Line's website), which is the club for kids 11 to 14-years old. I'd recommend that she go the very first day and evening as the kids tend to get to know each other and form groups right off the bat. It's easier to meet the other kids when everyone is new, versus a few days into the cruise when many already have formed friendships.
If your daughter enjoys the Edge, I bet she'll already be making plans with her new friends for meals together. When you head off for your Palo or Remy reservations, your daughter has so many choices for her own dinner. You could sit with her (or she can dine alone) at your regular seating before your reservations, or she could stop by Cabanas for dinner with friends. Also, up on Deck 11 near the Mickey Pool, she'll find Tow-Mater's Grill, Luigi's Pizza and Fillmore's Favorites. There she can grab a quick bite to eat before she's off on her next adventure around the ship. Hours for those three are subject to change, but I've always found them open around meal times when I've wanted something quick and easy to eat. I promise that neither you nor your daughter will ever go hungry on the Fantasy!
Enjoy your cruise, and especially your Palo or Remy dining experience. If you can, try them both! You won't be disappointed!
