Hi! I love this panel! I just read that the New Fantasyland will have it's grand opening 12/6. However, the preview will begin 11/19. Will that preview be restricted to passholders or can anyone attend? We will be there then and can't wait! Thanks!!!

    Hi Schenley,

Unfortunately, we don't know all the details yet about pre-opening availability of the new Fantasyland to guests. Disney has publicly stated there will be preview times for Annual Pass holders. It's likely that these folks will have to register ahead of time. Sign ups have not yet opened.

Disney does typically have some "soft opening" times when new attractions come online. This means that they will randomly run the new ride for an hour or two (or maybe more) to whatever guests happen to be there. This is spot testing and making sure everything is in tip top shape for the full reveal. If something needs tweaking during soft opening, the new ride could shut down right away with no notice. Soft openings are not advertised/promoted. It's really just luck of the draw whether you encounter this.

So, my guess (and this is only a guess) is that there may be some random soft opening tests beginning November 19. And it may be possible that a regular guest would encounter this, but there's really no way to know for sure.

Sorry to be so vague. Try checking back periodically and we may have more information for you.
