    I love this panel. I am planning a trip w/ 8yo daughter around the Christmas time in 2011. Which hotel would you recommend in the moderate & value price range? This will be our second trip, first time we stayed at the Movies Resort.

    Christmas time is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! I hope your holiday trip is full of magic!!

    As far as value hotel recommendations go, our family prefers the Pop Century Resort, closely followed by All Star Sports. The Pop Century resort is a fun resort with larger-than-life theming that just screams "Disney" to me. The Food Court and Everything Pop merchandise store are great choices for dining and shopping too. In particular, we also like that this value resort does not usually share buses with other resorts (which is great after a long day of touring the parks!!).

    In the moderate resort category, I prefer the Port Orleans resorts, with a small advantage going to the French Quarter. The lush themes of these resorts make them a fun place to hang out. Both of the pool complexes are tons of fun for kids too! These resorts also feature boat transportation to Downtown Disney. Its a fun, alternative way to travel around property.
