Hi. I love the moms panel and am looking for an honest answer. Is going to disney aug 20-26 a big mistake. I am afraid it will be too hot and busy for my 5 and 6 year old to enjoy. Those are the only days we can do with schedules. Thanks, Alecia

Hey Alecia and thanks for the great question.  I will be honest with you, it will be warm as the average temperature during August is 90, with the lows in the 70s, but I don't think the last week of
August is typically that crowded.  According to most Disney information books, the last week of heavy crowds in the summer is the third week of August, and I believe you are looking at the last week of August.  I have been around that time and the crowds for me personally were great.  We did drink a lot of water and took a few extra trips on Splash Mountain, but by no means was it too hot to enjoy.
I hope this information helps you and I really don't think you are making a mistake with that week.  Hope you and your family have a wonderful trip.
