    Hi! Love the panel, it's so helpful for finding out the inside info! Can you suggest which moderate has the best pool area? Kids are 7-14. Also when should we expect the promotions for the Spring to come out? Thanks!!

    Thanks for the compliment! It is so much fun to help guests plan Disney World vacations! I'm glad you are enjoying it as a planning resource! Now, on to your question!!

    I have two suggestions for moderate resort pools. The first is the Port Orleans French Quarter/Riverside resorts. I'm putting these two together, since when you stay at one of these resorts you can enjoy the other sister resort's amenities as well! So, in effect, your kids will be able to enjoy two great pool areas instead of just one! Both pools feature slides and some great features. Kids love them!

    The other resort is the Caribbean Beach Resort. Here the feature pool is done in an old-fort/pirates theme. The complex is fairly new, just being redone within the last few years. There are slides and water features here that can keep kids entertained for hours!

    Personally, I think the Port Orleans resorts have one other great feature that gives it an edge over other resorts: the boat transportation to Downtown Disney. The water taxi's are a great alternative to the buses and offers a quicker way to hop over there to enjoy dining and shopping.

    As far as past discounts, last year's spring promotions started to be announced in late fall and continued through early winter. For a great resource on which discounts came out and what they were, I always turn to a site called MouseSavers. A quick search on their site for "historical discounts" will bring you to a chart listing years of information. So helpful!!
