Hi! Love the panel, all of you are so much help!!! When I was @ WDW in 09 they accepted cash as a way to fund my Key to the World Card, is this still an option or has it been discontinued? Will be at the world again in 2011 and I have read conflicting info

    Hi Maegen,

Thanks so much for the kind words. We love being able to help others plan their Disney World vacations.

I actually did exactly what you are asking earlier this year on our last family trip. I was able to leave set amount of cash when I checked in. My Key to the World card was then activated for purchases and use up to that dollar amount. I was able to stop back later in the trip and check my balance and add extra money. I have not heard that this practice has changed and I had no problems with the Cast Member's willingness to do this for me, so I expect you should be just fine. Remember to check back during your trip to check any remaining funds left. You would hate to try and make a purchase only to find the limit reached and no money left on the card.

    Hope this helps!
