Love this panel! Our first day of our vacation is 2/8/14 and we will be there till 2/16/14! Was wondering what the crowd level is like, and also the temperature? Is it too cold to do swimming and are the water parks open? Thanks in advance :)

Hi Katrina! We're so happy you find the Moms Panel helpful -- we love answering your Disney vacation planning questions!

February is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! Attendance levels in the parks should be quite low during the week that you're visiting, although you will notice an increase in crowds during the last day or two of your vacation since it is Presidents Day weekend. Plan to do most of your park touring February 8 -14, and you'll be able to experience lots of attractions with little waiting.

Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are scheduled to be open during your visit. Temperatures in February can vary, but the highs average in the low 70s with lows in the 50s.  You may need to dress in layers, such as short sleeves under a cardigan, so you'll be warm in the mornings and evenings when it might be cooler. It's likely that a visit to the water parks in the afternoon would be quite pleasant! The water is heated, so it will be comfortable year-round!

Come visit us again here at the Moms Panel! We'd love to help you with more questions!
