Hi moms! Love the panel. Q about dining, how often are character meals changed or added? Planning for 09 trip and don't want to plan on a meal that won't be available. Also, any meal or mtgs with Pete from Mickey's club house? Thanks!

Character meals are changed or added sometimes. There is no set schedule for this, it just happens when WDW sees needs change. I would not say this happens super-frequently, maybe one moderate to major change a year. To give you an idea about past changes, here are some that I can remember happening during the last ten years. (This is just my top-of-the-head list and is not meant to be comprehensive.)

    - Fulton's Crab House, the site of my very first character meal with my oldest daughter -- Discontinued
    - Donald Duck breakfast in the Animal Kingdom -- moved from the Restaurantosaurus to Tusker House
    - Cinderella's Royal Table -- added lunch and dinner with characters
    - Hollywood & Vine -- changed from classic characters to Playhouse Disney characters
    - Princess Storybook meals at Epcot -- added
    - 1900 Park Fare -- many variations of character focus

Generally there is several months notice before a change of character meal so that as few guests are surprised or inconvenienced as possible.

As far a Pete goes. I have been unable to find a notice of a regular character meeting spot for him. But this IS something that changes very often. Character greetings are added all the time, so it is possible that you will find Pete when you go to the parks. When you arrive at WDW, I would go to the guest relations office at any of the theme parks. Ask them to call the "character hotline" for you. They will be able to tell you where or when any specific character will be appearing at the time of your visit.

    Have a great trip!
