Iris,
I think that if they enjoy
Hoop Dee Doo, then they might be open to the experiences from
Cinderella's Royal Table and
Chef Mickey's. But if you don't think they are really up for characters, then consider other options, like your suggestion of the
Biergarten. As to your question to the entertainment at Biergarten, for lunch there is nothing, but at dinner you will see some live entertainment. A German beer hall band (often referred to as an Oomp-pah-pah band) plays, and they also lead willing guests in dance. I think it is quite fun and entertaining.
Other entertaining meals include
Whispering Canyon Cafe and
'Ohana, but really with the fun more focused at the kids, and you get to enjoy watching them. Something you might also consider, comparable to Hoop Dee Doo, is the
Spirit of Aloha dinner show over at the Polynesian.
Finally, you might think about the Sunday Gospel Brunch at the
House Of Blues (at Downtown Disney). It is entertaining, and the food is great!
Let me know if you need more suggestions!
Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
