I love the opportunity to have a sit down meal, but with 2 kids under the age of 5, it's not always enjoyable. Using the Disney dining plan, is it possible to exchange a table service meal for a counter service meal?

    Hi Karen,

I hear what you are saying but unfortunately this option in not yet available. However, here is how you maybe able to take advantage of the current dining plan and not have as much stress.

    1. Go to a character meal. These table service meals are loud, fun and have a lot of movement so no one will notice your little ones not being able to stay in their seat. Also, since most are buffets, you can get them fed right away which is why I think the little ones never want to sit for a meal because they are hungry.

    2. Not all of the table service meals are real fancy. Try 50's Prime Time Cafe in Disney's Hollywood Studios, Whispering Canyons in the Wilderness Lodge or Cape May Cafe in the Yacht Club. These restaurants are fun and kid friendly.

    3. Use your table service for the meal your children will generally eat. For example, my girls tend to always have big appetites for breakfast or dinner. I schedule the table service for one of these meals. However, if your two are guaranteed to eat lunch, schedule it then.

Finally, as long as you are not taking them into the signature restaurants, this in no way implies they would not be welcomed there because I have brought my girls there when they were little, everyone has children, and it is okay they are not 100% perfect. I did remove my youngest princess only one time from a restaurant because she was toast and no one gave me the evil eye.

    Enjoy your trip!
