    Love the Mom Panel! I read it everyday while looking forward to our SURPRISE Aug trip for our girls! Staying at FW & just wondering what the proper amount is to leave for a tip for the cleaning service and also the bus driver fm airport? Thanks so much

    Thank you so much for the compliment on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel! We absolutely love to help guests plan their vacation to the most magical place on earth and spread pixie dust to all around us. 

    Wow, your girls are going to be so happy to have a surprise trip to Walt Disney World! You are the best mom ever! (and they are going to love Fort Wilderness Lodge.)

    I also have a hard time with understanding how much gratuity to leave. I always get nervous that I'm not leaving enough to show how much I appreciate the service that others provide. 

    I found a great guide on tipping at PassPorter - http://www.passporter.com/articles/tipping. The guide states that the "mousekeepers" should receive $1 per day and the bus driver should receive $2 per person in your party.

    However, I have a tip for you... the last time we visited, we left our "mousekeeper" $20 on the second day of our stay because she was AMAZING and made these cute little animals from the towels. She was so happy about this gratuity that she wrote us a letter thanking us, and she made elaborate designs with my kids toys and the towels and she even wrote a letter "from Mickey Mouse" to our kids. This was their favorite part of their vacation! They looked forward to coming back to the room after being at the park all day to see what magic was waiting for us in our room. They loved that their toys came to life, just like in Toy Story.

    Our mousekeeper did such an amazing job, even without that added above and beyond service, that I felt that she absolutely deserved more than the standard.
