Love you guys!! Mommy-daughter trip 12/9-12/14 with my 5 y/o princess. Have always stayed at a Value Resort. Switch to a Royal Room at Riverside or stick with a Value and attend the Perfectly Princess Tea Party? Budget won't allow for both. Thanks!!

Hi, Rebecca!  What a tough decision!  From a mom who has been there with my own princesses (I love doing individual Mommy/Daughter visits!), I think I would be more inclined to do the Royal Room than the Perfectly Princess Tea Party.

Don't get me wrong - I think the party is a wonderful experience.  Here's what it comes down to for me.  The party is about an hour and a half long, and for my oldest daughter, she didn't really have time to eat anything, as she was so interested in all the activity.  The doll is wonderful gift as part of the tea, but my girls were much more into stuffed animals than dolls, so we didn't get a lot of play time with the doll after our vacation.  I also went whole hog for the tea and had the princess costumes, so that was an added expense.

With the Royal room, you're kind of immersed in the Royal feel.  The rooms are really well appointed, and I can just see your little one delighting to the fireworks display she can create on the headboard!  It's an experience each evening when you return back to your resort for bed.

If it were up to me, I'd probably go with the Royal Room, then book the regular tea at the Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian.  You can order her a Mrs. Potts tea service, and enjoy the Mommy and me time without worrying too much about the budget!  I make it a point to do this with all of my girls when we go for our one on one trips!

    Have a great vacation!
