I love this forum! We are taking our 9 and 11 year old for the first time. We are arriving late 10/22, and leaving early 10/28. We have 4 day MYW with waterpark fun, and park hopper. Could you give me an itinerary for where to go on which days?

    Cynthia,

My honest opinion is that it will be very difficult for you to see and do all six parks in only 5 days. Even if you physically set foot in each of them, your time in each park will be very limited. If it were me, I would remove the water park option from my park tickets and add a 5th day in the theme parks instead.

I say this based on the sheer size of Disney. When I help friends and family plan a vacation, I recommend that they allow at least 2 days each in Epcot and Magic Kingdom, and 1 day each in Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Even these days, from park open to close, wouldn't allow you to see and do everything, but would at least get you in to the majority of attractions. Disney World is a HUGE place!

No matter what you do, I suggest that you buy or borrow from the library a good Disney vacation planning guide, and look at it together as a family. I would ask each family member to pick their top 3 'must-dos' and then make a plan that will include all of those highlights. I would also plan on being in the parks from open to close, and if you're staying on property, making good use of the extra magic hours so you squeeze in every minute of fun possible!

    Good luck!
