We love ending the busy day with a glass of wine in our room. Wondering what prices for a bottle are from gift shop vs. room service (staying at coronado)? what kinds of selection should we expect? Are bottles in restaurants available for take out? Thanks!

    Hi Kayleigh,

I like the way you think. A glass of wine at the end of the day is a nice way to relax.

First things first, the restaurants do not allow take-out alcohol.

The price of wine in the resort gift shops will always be cheaper than getting it via room service. If you get room service wine, it will be marked-up as if it were served in a restaurant. Plus you'll have to pay an 18% gratuity and a delivery fee. If all you want it wine, you're MUCH better off picking it up yourself.

You'll find single-serve bottles of inexpensive wine sold in your resort food court, as well as full bottles sold in the gift shop. Most of the wines sold in the resort gift shops are priced in the $10-20 range. They're typical of what you might find in supermarket, nothing extraordinary, but serviceable in a pinch.

You may have your best luck wine shopping in the World Showcase at Epcot. The shops in the Germany, Italy, and France pavilions carry wines indigenous to those countries. There are usually more unique and interesting choices available there than in the resort shops. Prices there range from about $10 per bottle on up to about $100 per bottle for special choices.

    Happy drinking!
