    We would love to eat a sit down breakfast at our hotel one day of our trip, but can't get reservations. We are staying at the Coronado Springs the first week of September. Our party size is 8 people. How likely is it to walk in to eat at the hotels?

    Hi, Jeanne!  I often travel with extended family, and I have to tell you, making sure we get the advanced dining reservations we want is the most stressful thing for me.  It doesn't always work out.

    My first piece of advice is to keep trying.  Check online up until the time you leave for your trip.  I find early morning and late at night are when I have the most luck with scoring the hard to get reservations.  Some of them may not come through until a day or two before, but I've been pretty lucky.

    If that doesn't work out, absolutely try a walk up.  Depending on how the restaurant is running that morning, you may have some luck.  The worst thing that could happen is they tell you they don't have space, and you are already aware of that possibility.  Earlier in the morning or later - heading into lunch - may bring you better success.  Just have a backup plan in the event they can't accommodate you.
