Would love to do the drawing at Animation Academy. My kids will be 4 & 1/2, 6 &1/2 and 9. Is the 4.5 y/o too young (she is mature as far as sitting and paying attention). Also, do classes start early or only at 10:30am and on? Prob April 2016 visit

Hi, Beth! This is one of our favorite family traditions! I tell all my friends to be sure to find the Animation Academy. Your little one should be fine in this relaxed atmosphere. With the help of a Disney artist, Guests learn how to draw a character and then have a complimentary souvenir keepsake to take home.  My husband had some framed that our kids did when they were younger as a wonderful gift for me.  The lessons begin every thirty minutes (and that usually falls on the hour and half hour, but it can vary slightly based on how long it takes to clear the studio after each group). Check the Times Guide when you enter the park, but you're correct that this experience usually begins at 10:30.  Even though I am far from being an artist, by following the wonderful instructions, I have been able to produce some characters I'm proud of during my visits. You can participate as many times as you'd like, and they select different characters each time.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
