i love disney world but i have never been to animal kingdom, what is the one must do thing at animal kingdom? thank you

    Hi Tabitha,

Animal Kingdom is designed quite different from the other parks, where the large majority of the land is actually inaccessible to guests. The Imagineers wanted to make sure that the animals lived in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible and therefore took painstaking steps to create plains, water holes, valleys, hills and more that the animals might find if they were in the wild. This design feature has created numerous hidden trails and pathways as well as quiet sanctuaries that provide peeks at the animals.

Now as for the one thing to do, wow, that is hard. Typically I would say that it comes down to your particular interests. There are a number of amazing stage shows offered like Nemo the Musical and the extremely popular Festival of the Lion King. There are a few fun and thrilling attractions like Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids and our absolute favorite Expedition Everest. However, given all there is to offer, I would have to suggest that the one must do is Kilimanjaro Safaris. This attraction is an approximately twenty minute jeep driven ride across the back area of Animal Kingdom and offers a small view of the animals that are roaming free throughout the grounds. Your vehicle will travel dirt trails providing you with an opportunity to spot anteaters to zebras and everything in between. Many times the animals wander very close to your vehicle for a very up close view. (No worries these animals are safe and well-fed). The views are peaceful and amazing and there are plenty of photo opportunities of these majestic creatures. Of course this is Disney World, so there is a little fun and adventure thrown into the ride for good measure. Every safari ride is completely different and the experience changes throughout the day, making it fun to ride at various times.

It is certainly an attraction that should not be missed. Now of course when you are finished, I suggest a sprint to Expedition Everest, but that is just me. Enjoy!
