Welcome back to planDisney, Scott!
Looks like your upcoming trip will be happening during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, a magical season! Like you, our family has our favorite places to dine and it's a bummer when you can't enjoy them, so I’m happy to share some insight into booking dining reservations in advance.
Dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and always based on availability. The window for reservations opens up 60 days in advance, and you can book reservations through the
Disneyland website or the
Disneyland app. Make sure that you are logged into your
MyDisney account so everything links up, and you must have a
theme park reservation on the day of your dining reservation. If you happen to see the date you want is booked, make sure to check back often up to the same day. You may have to be flexible about the time as other guests may cancel the day before or the day of opening up a spot. You will also need a credit card to guarantee the reservation in advance, and if you don’t cancel within two hours you may be charged a per person fee. If you’re unable to book in advance, you may be able to join the
mobile walk-up dining list, which is a same-day reservation as soon as a spot opens up. There have been times that I was able to get a walk-up reservation with a 10-20-minute wait.
Well, Scott, there is always exciting magic happening during Halloween, so be sure to follow
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland on Instagram to stay up-to-date on all these magical experiences! They’ll typically release a Foodie Guide to showcase the delicious treats, beverages, and novelty items. I hope that your family can enjoy your favorite restaurants while you’re at the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any other questions, Scott, please
send us another message!
Happy dining!
