We would love to get annual passes for our trip in September but know that is not possible now. If passes become available after we purchase day park tickets is there a way to upgrade to passes? Would we lose park resverations attached to tickets?

    Welcome to planDisney, Paul!

Adventure is out there!  I'm so excited to hear that you are seeking out fellow explorers and looking to join the Annual Passholder club.  Walt Disney World needs to be explored!  An Annual Pass is your ticket to do just that.

Purchasing your theme park tickets now is a great way to secure your Disney Park Pass reservations for your trip in September.  As you are aware, Annual Pass sales are temporarily suspended, so we do not know what is in store in the future for these magical tickets into Mickey Mouse's clubhouse.  In the event Annual Passes are offered again during your visit, stop by Guest Relations when you arrive and talk to a Cast Member about applying the cost of your tickets to an Annual Pass.  This was an option that was offered in the past, depending on the type of park tickets you purchased and the type of Annual Pass you select.

I truly hope that you find some pixie dust and are able to upgrade your tickets during your vacation, Paul!  If this dream does come true, you do not need to worry about losing your Park Pass reservations.  A Cast Member explained to me that these reservations will stay in My Disney Experience for you once they are confirmed, even if changes are made to your tickets.

If you are able to upgrade to an Annual Pass, I do recommend you do it on the first day of your visit, so you can take advantage of all the incredible passholder benefits, like dining and merchandise discounts, so you can create some extra magic during your vacation!
