Hi there, Jessica! Welcome to planDisney. We're happy you're here!
I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to visit
Walt Disney World Resort with your Mouseketeers next year! I can't think of a more magical way to make memories together. There are lots of things to think about when bringing your little ones to The Most Magical Place on Earth, including the best way to carry them through the parks.
When looking at the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, they state that backpacks cannot be larger than 24" long, 15" wide, and 18" high. Those measurements include the entirety of the hiking carrier itself. When thinking about the best carriers to bring into the parks, you'll want to consider the overall size of the hiking carrier backpack for your entire experience, including the ability to fit it by your feet on attractions with you. With that being said, I would recommend only bringing a carrier that will fit within these guidelines. Personally, smaller backpacks that can fit just my essentials have given me the best park experience!
Have you also considered bringing along a stroller with you? Every time of year at Walt Disney World Resort is magical, but August can bring high temperatures and occasional heavy rain showers. A stroller can be "parked" prior to experiencing an attraction and can also have a cover put on top in case of rain. This combination may provide you with the best, most reliable experience within the parks! Strollers can be brought from home or can be
rented at Walt Disney World Resort. Also, be sure to check out the
Baby Care Centers, too! This is a great location to pick up any essentials, change diapers, feed your little ones, or just take a quick break in the afternoon.
I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today, Jessica! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. We're happy to help!
You've got a friend in me,
Michelle
